Life Settlement Index Recap - September 2011 Data
The September 2011, Amrita Life Settlement Index results were reported on Tuesday October 4th at 10:00 AM EST. The survey showed a continued decrease in demand over the previous month. Demand for policies on the secondary market for life insurance dipped slightly as the index gave up 28.8 points or 2.9% to 978.5.
This month licensed life settlement providers reported supply outstripping demand as cases received over offers and closings increased by a slight margin.
Forward sentiment indicated a reversing trend, however, as surveyed providers expect a slight uptick in demand in the coming month.
